Today's Vintage Thingy - 1960's Hilton "Pets" stockings, thrifted from the St Vinnie's op-shop in Kew. Unopened and full o' kitschy goodness, the colour names of the stockings are Charleston and Honeybun. I'm not sure of the connection between the crazed looking stuffed toys and "Pets"..and "never run". To me it looks like softies in drag.
And of course, the text on the inside of the stockings is adorable:
Not often you get "beautiful" and "dull" next to each other in a sentence. Our gloriously bouffant-ed lady is sitting with her pets on a sheepskin, with "legs a silhouette of beauty". The inner flap says "be happy with wonderful Hilton nylons". Ah, so that's all it takes, best I throw my medication away now!
PS. No stockings are EVER going to make my legs a silhouette of beauty! And Pets never run? Obviously the folk at Hilton have never met Lola, who took off one night after a bloke on a pushbike, and was not seen again until the Keyborough Animal Shelter rang us the next day to come and collect her. Bloody pets.

OOPS. I just put Mr Linky up & I added you already. I haven't worn panyhose or nylons in forever. I hate 'em! Glad to not have to wear them. Must admit that they do make your legs prettier.

You are right, these are the
packaging for pantyhose/nylons?
I find that a bit bizarre also,
but very humorous..... you
definitely would see this packaging from far away!!!

yeah I wonder why they put pets on the front of them too? I also wonder if they ripped or tore very easily?
